DMCA Policy

GC Classic Housing is dedicated to celebrating the timeless elegance of classic design, architecture, and cultural heritage through our “Classic Chronicles.” We are equally committed to upholding intellectual property rights and ensuring that all content published on gcchousing.org respects copyright law.

This policy outlines the procedures for reporting alleged copyright infringement and for responding to such reports, in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We expect our users and contributors to respect the intellectual property of others. Claims of infringement will be reviewed carefully.

How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that material on gcchousing.org infringes upon your copyright, you may send a DMCA Takedown Notice to our Designated Agent. Your notice must include all of the following information to be valid under the DMCA:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our Designated Agent. This process allows you to dispute the takedown notice.

To be effective, a counter-notification must include substantially the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled and the location where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or a misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which GC Classic Housing may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person
